WELCOME TO THE LAVENDER GARDEN
The Lavender Garden and Gift Shop are now open. Located in the Northwest corner of Kern County, California half-way between Bakersfield and the Central Coast, we’re just 30 minutes from Paso Robles off Hwy. 46. The Lavender Garden grows five varieties spanning four lovely acres and is Kern County’s only existing Lavender Farm.
Take in the scenic beauty and experience the fragrant aroma of our lavender fields that calm the mind and invigorate the spirit. Take pictures, shop in the Gift Shop, sample Lavender Lemonade or La Rosa Fruit Bars, and enjoy the view from our umbrella-covered tables. Our site is RV accessible. Dogs are welcome on a leash or in our 1,000 sq. ft. grass area Dog Park.
Blackwell Land was founded in 1871 by three French immigrants who came to California in 1848 during the Gold Rush. Descendants of the original three held on to the land, overseeing cattle and sheep ranching, and vast tracts of land for farming. Now, the youngest generation is happy to open the farm to visitors, as we embark on a new venture with Lavender.
